FAQs

Q

Can I dedicate a home to someone, or something, of my choosing?

A

Absolutely! Each home features a dedication plaque on the front wall, and you have complete freedom to have the house dedicated in your name, in someone else's name or memory, or on behalf of your team or company.

Q

Once funded, what's the timeframe for completion?

A

Each home takes about a month to complete; but, since Mission Firefly employs locals to do the work and several homes have recently been funded, dependent upon where your house falls in the construction queue, your house could be completed 120 days after being funded.

Q

Where, exactly, is my house being built?

A

Your house will be built in San Antonio, a mountain village in Guatemala. Over the years, Mission firefly has built over a dozen homes in San Antonio, had the main village road paved, reinvigorated the local school, established a medical clinic, and built a clean water filtration system. Thanks to this incredible work, you can know that the family you're giving a home to has access to medical care, clean water and quality education.

Q

Can I visit my house one day?

A

Absolutely! In fact, MPPH is planning a joint trip with Mission Firefly for early April 2018. We would love nothing more than for you to join us for that trip, and for you to visit the house you've built to meet the family you've blessed. Of course, if you can't make April work, we can coordinate with Mission Firefly on your behalf to organize a trip to Guatemala at your convenience.

Q

Can I build more than one home, or get others I know to do the same?

A

Absolutely! To the credit of yours and other mortgage professionals' generosity, Mission Firefly has met it's goal of funding 24 homes for San Antonio; but, there are other communities with housing needs just like San Antonio.
